Marine biology is the study of marine organisms
Very hands on job by driving in the ocean and
learning about marine plants
Marine biology is the study of the ocean and the
living animals in it.
Marine biologists have to be good with writing
because at the end of every event, they have to write
a report about what they learned.
They also estimate population growth and life
expectancy for most marine creatures.

Education and Training


Needed
To become a marine biologist you usually
need to have a Masters or PhD majoring in
marine biology, marine ecology, marine
conservation, zoology or a related science.
(which is about 5-6 years of training)

Other Qualifactions
technician placements during summer
holidays
volunteer work in ecology and conservation
diving experience
work with plants and animals.

Outlook for job


Chances of getting a job as a marine
biologist are average. While job numbers
have gone down slightly, some specialist
areas are in demand.
The demand has gone down 6% but they say
the job outlook is still average.
