Problem

long 11KV overhead lines.
The connection of a generator to an 11KV overhead line causes an excessive voltage rise,
there are several techniques that can be employed to alleviate the situation, for example:
1.Reduce the primary substation voltage
2.Allow the generator to import reactive power
3.Install auto transformers
4.Increase the conductor size
5.Constrain the generator at times of low demand
