Why We Care
First of all the standard
conditions for puppy mills are
not that high. The animals are
kept in crowded, crude, and
unsanitary conditions.
Female dogs are used for one
reason only. Breeding. They get
no time to rest in between
litters, and when they are no
longer able to have puppies
they are killed. The puppies
that manage to survive are
separated from their mother at
birth, so often face major
separation anxiety.

*Did you know that there is estimated

to be around 10,000 puppy mills in the
United States alone? Fewer than 3,000
of those are regulated by the USDA.

There are multiple ways to get involved.
Donating to our campaign, adopting a
shelter dog/puppy mill survivor
organization, and volunteering at any
organization dealing with rescue dogs.

From anywhere to 4-8 weeks

of age puppies are taken from
their mothers and sold to
brokers (retail business). They
are packed in crates and sold
to various pet shops. Because
they are not provided with
proper care such as food,
water, ventilation, or shelter
during this transportation
many die.
