GUIDELINES REGARDING SYNOPSIS OF YOUR

LL.M. DISSERTATION

1. TITLE: It should reflect the main objective of the study. It must be written after the
whole synopsis has been written so that it is a true representative of the plan (i.e. the
synopsis). However, if you are not sure about the title, mention the broad theme on
which youre working on.
2. INTRODUCTION: It should contain brief background of the selected topic
3. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE RESEARCH: Mention the importance and relevance of
the research.
4. HYPOTHESIS: It is the tentative, testable statement. If there is an assumption you
are making regarding the variables which your research is going to test, you can
mention it here. However, its optional.
5. RESEARCH QUESTIONS: What are the preliminary questions which your
research will try to answer will be dealt in this part.
6. LITERATURE SURVEY: What literature you have identified till now, and how it is
relevant for your research.
7. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: Mention the methodology which you are going to
use for your research.1
8. BIBLIOGRAPHY: Mention the resourses you have identified for your research.

Note: As your dissertation is divided into two parts, there shall be two synopsis.
