Aug 2002- current

Arundel Elementary/Middle School [Aug. 2015- Present] As a fifth grade instructor in a Baltimore City
Public School, I performed various tasks including managing a classroom of 35 students while teaching all
core subject of language arts, math, science and social studies aligned with Common Core Standards. I
generated appropriate lesson plans and activities while planning accordingly for students with special
needs/IEP. Furthermore, I participated in professional development programs such as core development of the
adolescent brain. Externally, I continue to volunteer and be involved in various school and community
activities such has literacy night, free lunch program, mentoring program and sporting events.

High Road Academy of Prince Georges County [Aug.2013- July 2015] - As an elementary/middle special
educator in a Prince Georges County non-public school for students with disabilities, I perform various tasks
which encourage the improvement and development of cognitive, collaborative and transitional skills using the
Common Core State Standards. I incorporate innovative technology and scaffolding methods to provide an
effective learning environment that encourages cooperative learning, thematic instruction and differentiation.
Additionally, I am the lead coordinator of various school programs such as monthly field trips, Black History
Month Program and school-wide peace garden.

Collington Square Elementary/Middle School of the Arts [Aug. 2012- June 2013] As a third grade
instructor in a Baltimore City Public School, I preformed various tasks including managing a classroom of 30
students while teaching Direct Instruction Curriculum aligned with Maryland State standards in the core
subjects of reading, language arts and math. I provided differentiated instruction for students based on needs
and development. Externally, I am also the lead teacher of the Anti-Bullying Club after school program. The
main priority of the Anti-Bullying Club is to help eliminate bullying in the school environment and
community.

Sylvan Learning Center [Feb/2012- Aug 2012] As a trained and certified Sylvan instructor providing
students with an individualized program in reading, math, writing, homework help, study skills, state test prep
and SAT/ACT. Each student is given direct, guided and individualized instruction based on students needs and
growth. In addition to working with students in the community, I also work with students from the Baltimore
City community charter schools focusing on math and reading skills.

Creative Minds Early Learning Center [ June /2011-Jan/2012]- As a lead Preschool Teacher in a Baltimore
City Private School, I perform various tasks including managing a classroom of 10 children while teaching the
core subjects including reading, mathematics, science and social studies using Creative Curriculum and
Maryland State Standards. I created virtual and binded portfolios for continues communication with parents. I
also developed appropriate lesson plans for each childs development and according to need.
