Countable Vs Uncountable
Countable Vs Uncountable
Countable Vs Uncountable
They have both singular and plural forms. Those nouns that are
preceded by a/an are always countable and are always singular. A
singular countable noun cannot stand alone: it must always appear
with a, an, the or other determiner.
Ex.: She ate an apple.
Would you like a cup of coffee?
This girl is Bettys sister.
When a countable noun is in the plural, it can stand alone or it may be
preceded by a determiner.
Ex.: She ate three apples.
I bought some books.
Girls play with doolls.
