In this investigation the above data shows that on average the participants who
took the drug showed a decrease in cholesterol levels than those who took the
placebo whose average cholesterol levels remained the same as before the
experiment. The data revealed a higher mean for the readings before the
experiment and for the 25 participants who took the placebo compared to the
mean gained from the readings taken from the 25 participants who took the
drug. In terms of Standard deviation, there are no outliers however the reading
from before the experiment had a higher standard deviation than the 25
participants who took the drug which showed the lowest standard deviation.
