This lesson is the third lesson in chapter 7: Matter- how can the matter change? This lesson will cover how
the matter change by listening to the story, and do the activity which include material that they can touch it.
Teaching goal (State clearly what it is you plan to teach in this lesson

The overall aim of the lesson is to teach about how the matter change the size, color and the shape.

Learning objectives (State clearly exactly what you want the ss to be able to do by the end of
the lesson.

Students will be able to create any thing by using clay.


Students will be able to show how the clay ( matter) change.
Students will be able to understand the meaning of the change.

Assumptions about prior learning (Mention what the ss know from previous lessons or their
experience eg The learners will have encountered or be familiar with or aware of...)

Students may know how to use the clay.


Students already know about my rules in the class.
Students may know that the matter can change for example they know that the solid can change to
the liquid

Ahmed is talking with his friend during the teacher explains for them the lesson the teacher will
change his seat.
Mohammed did not understand how to do the instruction the teacher will ask someone who
understand to explain for his.
Haya is very shy and he hate to talk with other .... The teacher do a good reinforcement to encourage
them such as. " Haya is a good speaker "
Personal focus for this lesson (Based on your previous observed lesson, identify one or two
aspects that need improving. Eg. be more animated, monitor children more closely, provide
more challenging tasks etc)

I will focus to encourage Sultan to work by his self without any helping.
I am going to focus on time management . I only have 40 min to deliver this lesson .

Engage

The teacher will start the class by tell them the rules of the class ( looking eyes, listening ears,
quiet mouth, helping hands) and explain for them each point. After that, she will put the rules
card on the wall to be in front of their eyes.
Then, she will tell them the positive reinforcement that she will used during all the science
classes which is ( beautiful tree).
T: each group has their own tree, in each tree there are 3 yellow apple. If you do noisy or speak without raise
your hand, I will take one apple from your group tree and If you apply the rule you will get one extra apple. Did
the understand that. At the end of the lesson we will see who have a big number of apple to get a gift. Did you
understand that?
S: yes.
Teacher will engage the students to the lesson by tell them a nice story about Haya by using
character.
T: did you love story

T: today I will take you to an amazing world . it is an story world. Listen to me.
Story
( As usual, Haya wake up to do her routine . Ate her breakfast, went to school, went back to home and did her
homework. Once upon a time, she wake up and she is very happy because today is her birthday. She ask her
sister to help her to decorate their home. She brings the balloons to fill it gas. When she fill it. She thinks and
she said wow, how the balloon change she think and she think and she said that she will ask her mother. )

Explore

The teacher will divide the students into 6 groups and each group have 4 students. She will give
to each group a clay to do the activity after she tell them the instruction and the example of
using clay.
Lesson description:
Students are going to use their hands to design anything that they came in their mind by using
the clay.
T: each matter in the world can change. Pencil can change. Pop corn can change. Also, paper can change.
Today I will give something else to know how it change and what is the meaning of the change after doing
this activity
( after that the teacher will tell them the instruction of the activity)
Materials:
clay
Instructions:
1- this is the clay I will give it to each group
2- you can make any thing ( flower, table, chair, apple)
3- you can work together or you can work individual
4- dont touch the clay and dont start until tell you.
5 remember the rules to get an apple in your tree.
6- the first group will finish will get 2 apple in their tree.
( T: are you understand . Now you can start)

This is the clay and the example of using clay.

Explain

Teacher will explain to children when something changes, it becomes different in some way. Its color, shape, or
size can change. Then the teacher will ask children to describe how clay changes by using the sentence frame.

Elaborate

To check if the students understand the lesson or not. Teacher will give them a homework card to do it in their
home. This card includes three questions.
The answer of this question will shows the teacher if they understand or not.

understand the lesson. she will move around them and ask them if the students group answer the
