I have worked with Ms. Katz during the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) at Fairfield University as her supervisor. I am quite impressed with her abilities as a teacher, colleague and peer. Ms. Katz is a highly qualified instructor and should be given every consideration for any position she applies herself too.

To Whom It May Concern: I am privileged to write this letter of recommendation in support of Ms. Jessica Katz. I have worked with Ms. Katz during the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) at Fairfield University as her supervisor and I am quite impressed with her abilities. Jessica gives 100% as a teacher, colleague and peer. She has been an instrumental part of the SIG program, and demonstrates excellent content knowledge in in all subject areas, especially the arts. When spending time observing Ms. Katz, it is immediately evident to me that she has a love for the profession and a sincere interest and concern for all her students. Further, Ms. Katz has a keen understanding of school-aged children and their needs. Ms. Katz is a self-starter and will investigate concepts and initiatives to better her effectiveness as a teacher and teaching assistant in the classroom. Unsolicited, Ms. Katz frequently volunteered to support student instruction at a moments notice doubling her teaching assistant duties. Ms. Katz is also a caring and dedicated professional for all children during her duties as Program Assistant for SIG. I know she supported many classrooms throughout the program and has received numerous, unsolicited, high praises for her dedication to our students. What impresses me most about Jessica is she makes herself available to assist everyone. Ms. Jessica Katz is a highly qualified instructor and should be given every consideration for the opportunity for any position she applies herself too. It would be wonderful to see such a bright young woman enter the teaching ranks. If you need further assistance, I would be more than happy to furnish you with additional information. Respectfully,
Peter S. Carlson Academic Dean Summer Institute for the Gifted Fairfield University
