POLITICAL AND SOCIAL


PROBLEMS
Romes government became very week in A.D. 235.
Army leaders fought each other for the throne for about 50 years.
Wealthy families in Rome began to support slavery because it was
a cheap way to get things done.

ECONOMIC AND MILITARY


PROBLEMS
Romes military began to fall apart in A.D. 200.
The economy began to worsen and people started buying fewer
goods, which closed businesses.
Inflation (rapidly increasing prices) started becoming a problem in
Rome.

DIOCLETIAN'S REFORMS
AND CONSTANTINE
Diocletian was an emperor who
introduced reforms political
changes to make things better.
He worked to boost the
economy.
Constantine became the emperor in A.D 312.

ROME IS INVADED
In A.D. 410, the Visigoth leader and his soldiers captures Rome.
They burned and looted the treasury.
As of A.D. 550, the Western Roman Empire had faded away.
