1. Introduction
Virtual Disks are Logical disks (LUN) created from a Disk Group having a set of disks
configured with RAID 5 technology to avoid data loss during physical disk failures.
2. Purpose
The Purpose of this document is to perform the deletion of Virtual Disk.
3. Operational Procedure
Method (GUI):
Step 1:
After loading the Dell Powervault modular disk storage manager-> select the specific storage
array.

Step 2 :
From the window opened-> select the Logical tab -> Right click the Virtual Disk to be
deleted
Select Delete.

Step 3:
Then a pop up will appear to select the Virtual Disk or multiple Virtual Disks. Carefully
select the correct Virtual Disk to be deleted and click Delete.

Step 4:
Then another confirmation popup window will appear where we will have to enter yes and
click Ok to confirm the deletion process. This will delete the particular virtual disk and all
the data within it.
