A) Theme: How to act like a proper Christian

B) Reading : Titus 2:1-10 (NABRE) As for yourself, you must say what is consistent with
sound doctrine, namely, that older men should be temperate, dignified, self-controlled,
sound in faith, love, and endurance. Similarly, older women should be reverent in their
behavior, not slanders, not addicted to drink, teaching what is good, so that they may train
younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, chaste, good
homemakers, under the control of their husbands, so that the word of God may not be
discredited. Urge the younger men, similarly, to control themselves, showing yourself as
a model of good deeds in every respect, with integrity in your teaching, dignity, and
sound speech that cannot be criticized, so that the opponent will be put to shame without
anything bad to say about us. Slaves are to be under the control of their masters in all
respects, giving them satisfaction, not talking back to them, or stealing from them, but
exhibiting complete good faith, so as to adorn the doctrine of God our savior in every
way.
C) Reflection: In our life we notice lots of different people. Some people are very shy.
Others are very talkative. Some are attention-grabbers. Others just want to do things by
themselves. In this passage, God tells us how to be a proper Christian and how to act like
one.
D) Dear Lord,
Help us to become like your son, Jesus Christ,
Teach us how to act like a Christian,
Teach us how to do your great works,
Teach us how to praise you,
Teach us how to spread the good news,
Teach us how to love our neighbors as ourselves,
Through all of eternal life,
May you,

Jesus Christ,
Teach us how to act like Jesus Christ.
Amen.
