Students will be using the following:
Smart Board
School tablets (KidsSpiration program)
Color pencils
1. Students will be put in groups of 3 to 5 students.
2. Students will get in their KidsSpiration program on their
tablets.
3. Students will go into the mathematics section.
4. Students will challenge each other as they work together.
5. They will have to draw and color in their own block claims to
match the given fraction.
6. I will then call up a group at a time to solve basic fractions on
the smart board to earn points for their own group.
They will understand the basic concept of fractions. From the class
activities, students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of
fractions.
