Pathway USA is in full effect

MOBILE, Ala. --- The University of South Alabama has announced a
new partnership with Faulkner State Community College entitled Pathway
USA. The goal is to increase opportunities for college students on the Gulf
Coast, starting in the fall of 2016.
This is a way you will be connected to South immediately, says Joy
Washington, the associate director of communication and media relations.
The transition for Faulkner State students would be smoother as a result of

the new program. Also the retention rate for students who use the new
program would increase. Another goal of the program is to increase the
retention rate at USA.

Some benefits from the program are guaranteed admission to USA

upon successful completion of the associates degree. Students will have
access to a USA academic advisor assigned to them who will meet students
at Faulkner State and provide guidance on course selection and degree
plans. Reverse transfer agreements will allow Faulkner State students who
transfer to South without an associates degree to complete that degree
after entering USA. Faulkner State students will have the South experience
before they transition to the university.
The University of South Alabama is a four-year institution located in
Mobile, Ala.
