Dear Parents or Guardians,

My name is Brittany Rubado- LaVare, and I will be assisting Mrs. Leggue as a student teacher
this spring (January 20th April 21st) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.
I am in my final semester of completing my A.S. degree in Early Childhood Studies at SUNY
Canton. The program integrates theory and practice, in which I must complete 200 hours of
student teaching experiences. Last fall, I completed 80 hours of experience at the Cantons Day
Care in the Toddler Room with Gina OShea.
Im looking forward to further developing and applying my knowledge and skills in your childs
classroom. I will be responsible for observation and reflection of daily practices, participation in
all areas of the classroom, planning and implementing lessons and activities.
Occasionally we use photographs for activities and professional portfolios in our course work. I
