So B.

It
By Sarah Weeks

Chelsea Wring

So B. It, is a coming of age story about a 12year old girl named Heidi.
She lives with Her mother who is mentally
disabled and her neighbor, Bernadette, who
has agoraphobia.
Heidi knows nothing about her past, where she
came from, or who her family is. All she has is
her mother and Bernadette, who found them
when Heidi was only a baby.
Bernadette found Heidis mother at her door
with an infant in her arms twelve years ago and
has taken care of them ever since. Since Heidis
mother can only say a few words, the only
information Bernadette has and
consequently Heidi has is that Heidis name
is Heidi and her mothers name is So B. It.

Heidis life with her disabled mother and doting neighbor, is happy, but filled with
many questions.

Where did she and mama come from, before Bernadette found them?
What is the Soof her mother always talks about?

Does she have any other family members?

Why does she know nothing about her mother?

Heidi feels drawn to find answers to these questions and wont stop until she knows.

What happens when Heidi discovers photographs of her mother with people she's
never seen before?
Will Heidi ever figure out what Soof means?
Will Bernadette ever leave the apartment, despite her fear, to help Heidi?
