Student background:
This student is my uncles son, which it gives me to test out on how
much he can read aloud on his own. He is in second grade and he is going to
Glenfair Elementary School. He is only seven years old. He is a bright kid
who loves to learn and motivates to ask many questions. I heard that his
parents told me that he was a troublemaker in the beginning of the school
year, but he took it serious when he started to learn and keep learning. He
had started his homework consistently and showing his work in class, that
had given huge differences. It was pretty good working with him and
fascinating to see him to recognize each sound and understand how to break
them apart so easily. It seems easy for his reading level but as it takes to the

next level will build him more vocabulary words to pronoun those words to
make it easier to say it aloud.

Phonemic Awareness (DIBELS)

Elevdin was very confident about doing this assessment test to work
on segment words in phonemes. I was aware that his parents knew this
education is very important to him because his parents had never gotten go
to higher education. He knew about this activity because he loves to break
down the word and say it. He was happy on his smile and started to work
with me. It was good for him to break down the words and he understands
how to break them apart. He did a great job.

Summary of assessments and scores:

Elevdin did a great job. He was prepared when he was working with
me. He knew about this activity because he had done it before in the first
grade. He told me that he had to break it down the word and say it. I said,
Yes, Elevdin. He was motivated and prepare! Elevdin scored 19/22 when he
completed the end. It took about five minutes. He had missed three words
that easily can fix it but it is much easier for him to keep practice on O and
Y. This is tend to the most common students are struggling on. I am glad to
work with him and he did a great job. I believe that he has a good future
ahead of him.
