Event Description: Disc golf is a craft sport that with a growing

number of fans and participants. This sport is filled with precision and
accuracy while the main goal is to throw the frisbee disc at a target.
Mission Valley has surrounding golf courses that would be easy to
convert temporarily into disc golf courses. The disc golf tournament in
Mission Valley would also Would boost room nights in areas outside of
the gaslamp area. There are currently 30,000 people registered for disc
golf in the USA and Stockton is the only place in CA where disc golf
tournaments are held. This event could include both professional and
amateur leagues and would bring in vendors, competitors, as well as
their families and spectators. This event could be combined with
another craft idea such
as beer, wine, food, etc.
