THE WORKING PROCESSING OF AN AIR-CONDITIONER

===o0o===
An air-conditioner is a device that can change and keep the temperature of a room stable. The
air-conditioner works by using a chemical that easily to convert from gas to liquid and back
again. The chemical is used to transfer heat from inside-room air to outside-room air. The
working process has 3 main steps which are performed in 3 main parts of air-conditioner: heat-
radiating in evaporator, compressing in compressor and condensing in condenser.

Firstly, the chemical – working fluid is cool and flows into the evaporator through a tiny hole.
In the evaporator, the working fluid is entered drop by drop and the pressure is very low, the
fluid evaporates into gas. The evaporating process attracts heat from the air around it; therefore,
the air will be cooler and blown into inside room by a fan. The working fluid leaves the
evaporator as a cool-low pressure gas.

Next, the cool-low pressure gas goes into the compressor. The compressor squeezes the gas, it
makes the molecules of gas closer together. The closer the molecules are together, the higher the
gas’s energy and temperature. The gas leaves the compressor as a hot and high pressure gas.

After leaving the compressor, the high temperature and pressure gas goes into the condenser.
In the condenser, there is a metal fins all around, it help the gas remove heat more quickly. The
high temperature air outside the fins is blown out by a fan. After dissipating heat, the gas is
cooler and change into liquid under high pressure. The gas leaves the condenser as a cool fluid.
The fluid continues to flow into the evaporator and the process is performed all over again until
the room reaches the temperature wanted to cool.

The air-conditioner is very useful for normal life, special in the tropical countries. It make air
become more fresh and cool, it is quite good for your health. However, some people aren’t
appropriate for an air-conditioner, the air-conditioner will make them get cold easily. No matter
what, you will feel very comfortable if your room has an air-conditioner in summer.
