Name of Artifact: Global Education Perspective Presentation
Date: April 27, 2016
Course: EDUC 101: Introduction to Teaching
Brief Description:
This is an overview of the research done over the country of Austria. It begins with a very
quick introduction of the points that will be reviewed, followed by general information of the
country, and then focuses on the education system in Austria compared to the education system
of America. The point of this assignment was to learn about other ways that different countries
around the world handle their education system and how different countries compare to America.
Rationale:
To document my understanding of InTASC Standard 2, Learning Differences, I did an in
depth study of Austrias culture, education system, government, and various other aspects of their
country in comparison to the United States. I have had the opportunity to understand the
differences in not only their education system, but also the differences in everyday life. During
the course of this project, I have had the chance to learn about a world that is similar in some
ways and not so much in others than my own. Family, culture, and even the act of giving gifts is
done much differently in Austria versus the United States
