Paige Gumz graduated from Chino Hills High School in 2012 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Journalism PR and a minor in Criminology from Fresno State in 2016. She has been a student athlete on the Fresno State Softball team since 2012 and gives private softball lessons. As a volunteer, she has helped with public relations for Marjaree Mason Center and Catholic Charities, Fresno County 4-H, and worked with Gatorade at athletic camps. She has received several athletic awards including All Mountain West in 2013 and Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year in 2015.

Being part of a team has taught me leadership skills to maintain a chemistry throughout a variety of different people. Private Instructor Softball Lessons | June 2014 Present I give catching lessons weekly to girls ages 7-17, at all levels from beginner to advanced. Marjaree Mason Center partnered with Catholic Charities Public Relations Volunteer | January 2016 Present I was responsible for connecting with on-campus relations such as Fresno State Athletics, Smittcamp Family Honors College, Fresno State Fraternities and Sororities, and other on-campus clubs. My classmates and I designed the Share a Pair campaign and pitched it to the directors of both organizations. The campaign gathered donations of brand new pairs of socks and underwear for kids ages 3-12. All together we raised 1,292 pairs of socks and underwear. Fresno County 4-H Public Relations Volunteer | August 2015 December 2015 My responsibilities included providing a website audit, analyzing social media, creating new social media posts, constructing flyers for future events, writing a news release, and creating a new special event. Gatorade Team Member | June 2015 August 2015 Team members were responsible for the the set up and break down of Gatorade equipment at various athletic sports camps held at Fresno State. Team members were in charge of setting up hydration stations (tables, 10 gallon dispensers, Gatorade tents, etc.) and educating campers on the importance of hydration.
