A Thought Exercise

You are the Minister of Agriculture of a low middleincome country. The object of the exercise is to
develop a na#onal plan to improve food (and nutri#on)
security and achieve signicant poverty reduc#on. You
must decide on the priority outputs and ac#vi#es that
you think will be both doable and eec#ve.
You must decide on the priori#es also in context of
compe#ng ministries such as health and industry. You
will have a na#onal budget and access to donor funds
(bilateral, mul#-na#onal, World Bank, etc.) that you
will need to aNract with your plan.
