BRINKS INCORPORATED

INTEROFFICE COMMUNICATION
To: Thomas C. Schievelbein, CEO
From: Human Resources
Subject: New Candidate-Vault Clerk
Date: April 15, 2016
The purpose of this memo is to present my choice for the position of Vault Clerk. Your approval
is needed by April 18, 2016 so that I may follow-up the candidate with a letter scheduling further
actions as needed.
Summary
The applicant has impressed us with her conduct in interviews and her experience in the field and
we feel they need to be reviewed.
Discussion
After weeks of sorting through resumes and conducting interviews, I have decided upon Mrs.
Miranda Tubbs to assume the position of Vault Clerk. She was selected because she has many
advantages that are transferable to our company. She is a major in accounting at Auburn
University Montgomery. She is also a member of the Accounting Club at her school. Her
education in this field makes her desirable since she will be balancing our companys inbound
and outbound liabilities on a daily basis.
Mrs. Tubbs has proven to be a hard-working and committed individual as she has been with the
same company, Wal-Mart, for 17 years. She started out as a cashier and is currently a UPC clerk.
Her duties at her current job are similar to this position. Also, during her interview she stated
that she would be available for work overtime if needed and displayed great enthusiasm for the
job.
All of these advantages listed indicate that Mrs. Tubbs is ideally suited for this job. I am
confident that she will make a lasting imprint on our company just as she has at her current
workplace. There is no delay that needs to be taken in considering this candidate.
Recommendation
Id like to talk to you further, no later than April 18, about Mrs. Tubbss potential employment
here with Brinks. I think we should follow-up our offer with an extra incentive if she so happens
to reject this job. Give me a call (334-399-0971) and well talk.
