BY: AUSTIN GAINES

Lets begin with

HERE IS US TODAY

HERE IS INDIA TODAY

So Whats the difference?

The Difference is

Technology

So why does this matter?

Technology is a giant piece of society that is
becoming very interactive and useful. Without
technology, the world would not be as advanced
and developed as it is now. Today, we think of
the entire world being the same, but it truly
isnt.

Which countries dont have

access to technology?
Here are the numbers in countries without power
The United States

50 million

Mexico

69 million

Brazil

97 million

India

1,063 million

China

736 million

Pakistan

162 million

Here are some stunning facts

that relate to this chart..
- India is home to nearly a quarter of the worlds offline population.
-roughly 900 million of people who are not connected are illiterate.
-More than 80% of people who are not connected to the internet are younger
than 55 years old. More than 42% are younger than 25 years old.
-It is estimated that between 1 billion and 2.8 billion cannot access network
due to insufficient network coverage.

So, how can we fix this?

There have been a couple of charities established that have helped with
donating old and used technology to those who cant have access to it. Most
of these services take in old technology, refurbish it, and give it or sell it for
cheaper price. These programs include
Dell Reconnect
The wireless foundation
And even eBay giving
Giving back to others is the best way to provide to the others around the
world. If we donated our old computers that collect dust, had them restored,
and shipped to others, the world would be a better place. The technology could
benefit their countries and make the citizens more educated. More educated
citizens could bring the country out of poverty and allow it to develop.
