Dear Mr, Strickland,
have know Taylor Monk for about 4 years. Ihave mentored him individually as well as
{na small group setting at church, The small group consisted of high school guys and Taylor was
{Rithful to attend, Ted this group up until I began graduate school to get my Masters in Marriage
and Family Therapy.
have spent a lot of time with Taylor and watched him operate in a variety of settings.
From individual chats over coffe, seeing him serve at church, to spending days playing paintball
together. Taylor has always be a young man that has exuded strong character, been faithful,
honest, and never afraid to stand for whats right. He has done this even iit meant standing
alone. He is a natural leader and has always strived for excellence academically, as a musician,
and athletically.
‘Pm currently a counseling intern through the Vacaville Police Department a the local
high schools. This position allows me to see and work with many types of teenagers. And Taylor
is one ofthe very few teenagers that I can confidently say isa natural leader, helps others, and
isn’t aftaid to stand for what he believes in. Another character trait Ihave witnessed is that unlike
some, he is obedient and respectful toward authority. Even if there's @ rule or command that he
‘doesn’t fully agree with, He finds a way to stay positive and submit to that authority. Be that at
home or within the community
Having worked with youth for over a decade, as well as curently in a mental healthy
counseling setting; which I hope will substantiate this recommendation, I would highly
recommend that Taylor Monk be considered for promotion to Eagle Scout. I believe that he does
and will continue to uphold the Scout Oath and Laws and be a great reflection upon the
‘organization, Please fee free to contact me if you have any further questions.
