Over the past three years I have had the extreme pleasure of working with Brianna Roth as a student in the French I, II and III classes I teach at Glencoe High School, as well as having her as my Teachers Aide. I look forward to watching Bri continue to excel in her senior year and I am excited to see where her future takes her. Brianna, from the first day of French I, proved to be an enthusiastic student. Her love and passion for French language and culture has made her experience much more worthwhile. Bri is a hardworking and motivated student. She actively participates in class discussions and never hesitates to share important ideas, knowledgeable answers, and worldly experiences with her classmates. In return, Brianna welcomes critiques of her writing, presentations, term papers and projects with open arms. She is constantly asking for clarification on minute grammar and pronunciation points, which shows her dedication to the language and her success. Bri is a reflective student who is always searching for ways to successfully improve her language abilities in all modalities, making it a point to speak French with her classmates and me daily. Briannas passion for success is shown through her academics and extra-curricular activities as well. On top of being in an advanced third year French class, Bri also has taken numerous A.P. as well as honors classes throughout her time at Glencoe, maintaining an impressive 3.1 GPA. She is very active outside of school as well, being a part of the basketball and track & field team, refereeing youth sports, giving eye and hearing exams at local elementary school through her health occupations class and having a leadership role in the DEP program in the U.S. Navy. She balances the stresses of high level classes, demanding activities, jobs and community work extremely well. Bri is definitely an ambitious, well-rounded learner as well as a born leader. It has been my utmost pleasure to have Brianna as a student. She is creative, energetic and always willing to help. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to watch Brianna grow in her language skills, and I am excited for her future serving our country, in which her language experience can be vital. She has grown into a wonderful young woman over the past three years and I am SO excited to see where her future takes her. She is intelligent, hardworking, diligent, and a joy to be around. I cannot say enough positive words about Brianna. I am confident she will be a great addition to any team she decides to become a part of, and deserving of any scholarship for which she applies. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Sincerely,
