I am applying for the position of an Elementary School Teacher at Joliet Public Schools, District 86. I
have obtained a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education along with an endorsement in Special
Education. I have a state of Illinois teaching license and I want to use my skills and knowledge to
provide the best education for the Jolliet, Illinois students. The diverse setting is the perfect
environment for me. I believe I am the most qualified person for the teaching position.
My motivations and goals for teaching is to bring out the best in the students and help them grow and
succeed. My strengths include being bilingual and as well as having and on hand experience with other
classroom settings, I also have an emphasis in Special Education. I believe the Illinois students must
receive the best education possible. With my energetic and creative persona, as well as my
professionalism, I will inspire the students to challenge themselves and reach out of their comfort
zones. I would bring effective communication skills to this position and as well as adequate knowledge
from the material that I will teach.
My desire in life is to teach because it makes me happy that I am helping children learn about the
world we live in. I truly enjoy teaching and I look forward to it every day. To obtain this job, it would
