Our Lady of Unity Catholic

School
2015-2016 School Year

Dear Parents & Friends,

This has been an exciting

year for many of our families
and their extended OLU family.
We have had several babies
born this school year. What a
joy to welcome the OLU class
of 2029!
Last fall we welcomed
Andres Aleman who joined
older siblings Diego, 5th grade,
Ambar, 2nd grade, and Galya,
Kindergarten.
Just shortly after, Adeelia
Abarca was born joining big
brother Jesus, 8th grade and
sister Janell, Kindergarten.
Mrs. Rockers, our 5th grade
teacher, delivered Olivia in
February. She was welcomed
by Carmella, 2nd grade and
Landon, Kindergarten.
Juan David Cruz continued
the blessings by joining brother
Gabe, 7th grade.
Our most recent blessing,
Ximena was born last Tuesday
to Graciela Vazquez. He joins
big sisters Esmeralda, 5th grade
and Carla, 3rd grade.
What an absolute delight to
see the many blessings God
has bestowed on our families
this year. Congratulations to
all! Our God is an awesome
God!
God Bless!
Nancy Butters

REMINDER
There is no school on
Monday, April 25. Classes will
resume on Tuesday.

ENROLLMENT MEETINGS
Many families have been
verified through FACTS to
determine scholarship
amounts and I have met
with them to set up tuition
payments for next year. If
you have not completed that
financial analysis it should
be taken care of right away
to ensure that scholarship
money will still be available.
If you are verified and I
have not met with you,
Carmen will be calling you
next week to set up an
appointment. Please make
sure to reply quickly to
FACTS if they request more
RAFFLE TICKETS
We still have about 350
raffle tickets that have not
been assigned to anyone.
This project is very important
to our school. Were working
hard to see that our students
and staff have a healthy and
safe environment to come to
every day. In order to do this
we need to sell all 1000
tickets. If you have not sold
any tickets, please consider
helping. We will all reap the
benefits. If you have tickets
that you arent able to sell,
please send them back so
someone else can sell them.
We only have about one
month left. If you have sold
any tickets, please send the
money and stubs to school so
we know where we are with
sales. Thank you.

PTO SOCIAL
Youre all invited to a PTO
social on Saturday, April 30
following the 4:00 Mass at SH.
You do not need to bring
anything but yourselves and
your family. There will be
hotdogs with chili and cheese,
chips, cookies, and drinks.
This is a great opportunity to
visit with or meet other school
families and celebrate another
great year at OLU. We hope
you can all make it.

WALK-A-THON
The annual walk-a-thon is
Friday, May 6. Students are
asked to raise a minimum of
$10 to participate. There will
be prizes for the most money
raised and the most laps
walked. All proceeds go to the
CYO athletics. Even if your
child is not old enough to
participate in sports, they will
be one of these days and it is
always a fun afternoon for the
students.
