My favorite part of the year is here! Why is it my

favorite? Service projects! For the 5th grade, the
students get to go to KARM. During the trip, we
toured the housing facilities and one of their retail
stores. The students got to see where the coats went
that they collected for KARMs Coats for the Cold
fundraiser. The students also made cards for some of
the people who use the KARMs facilities. Also in the
week, the students recorded We Believe in Lucas
song for our Buddy Bands fundraiser. I am so amazed
at what these kids can do. I am also so proud of how
they have responded to this years Buddy Bands. It is
not easy writing music especially when it deals with
tough situations, but the kids acted like Pros. To finish
the week, we filmed our opening commercial and
enjoyed our radishes from our garden.
