For the teacher using manipulatives and models are crucial and useful fo
the lesson.

Moreover, using manipulatives and models are important because of two

reasons. The first reason is models can support the lesson. For example,
when the teacher uses the models in her lessons the children will
understand better because they will see and explore to identify the
concept of the lesson. The second reason is the children will enjoy the
lesson because they will explore rather than see the teacher give the

lesson as a lecture. But they will think and play with the tool that will he
them to develop their thinking.

There are different kinds of models that the teacher can use it in

mathematical lesson such as cubes, the teacher can use cubes to identi

the addition lesson or subtraction. In addition, the money to recognize th

tens and ones such as ten drachms represent tens, and one drachm
represents ones. So to represent number thirteen the student will take
ten drachms and three drachms.

Furthermore, I have seen in the teaching practice that my MST classroom

include a lot of model and tools for mathematical such as blocks, puzzle

shapes, and coins. However, these tools provided by the teacher and sh
put it is her classroom, but sometimes the children take the tools and

model, so she stops buy the tools. This is the only negative that face the
teacher when she use the models in her lesson. However, I have advise
her to but the tools in the lockers.
In conclusion, using model, not just for mathematical it can be any
subject such as English and science.
