Mentor Interview Summary:

Student ministry takes a lot of hard work, each sermon has 10+ hours of preparations and
organizing 100+ students takes a lot of planning
He works with many volunteers, he says that the ministry is run by the volunteers and his
role is just the equip them and the students.
He graduated from TAMU with a bachelors degree in business, then got is masters of
theology from DTS
He sits on committees and chairs, he attends meetings
He meets with a lot of students each week, just to get coffee or to talk
Characteristics he thinks are important in student ministry: communication, confident
leader, organizer, relatable
He said the most important thing is experience and volunteering
He eventually wants to be a senior pastor
Haiti is the climax of student ministry
With adults its not just training the individual its training the whole family
Ministry is equipping people/saints to do the work of the Church
