Weekly Happenings
Math: Students reviewed several algebra concepts and took the unit test. We began
learning about geometric solids.
Reading/Writing: Students read plays and reviewed contractions and homophones.
They also wrote poems using alliteration and onomatopoeia.
Science: Students learned about energy sources and natural resources such as fossil
fuels, air, and water. They have a water lab they need to complete by Monday.
Social Studies: Students are learning about westward expansion.
Other: Students went to see the play Surviving the Applewhites. It was very good.
They represented Blue Heron well both at the play and at the restaurants.

Whiteboard Markers Specialist Schedule


Monday – Dell Lab
Many of the students have Tuesday –Music/ Study Hall
run out of whiteboard Wednesday –Phy Ed / Music
markers. We use these Thursday – HP Lab
almost daily during math Friday – Phy Ed/Library
class and other subjects.
Please ask your child if they
