Elleby is a stylish and hip hat. It is
knit in the round and bottom up
using eyelets and decreases to
produce the twisty look without
cabling. Elleby is intended to be
worn loosely with a little slouch. It
is perfect for all seasons.

Chart
The lace is worked in the round. The chart is read right
to left for every round. The lace repeat begins with 6
sts, increases to seven sts, then decreases back to
six sts for rounds 4, 5, and 6.

Pattern
CO 100 stitches using a long tail cast on. PM and join for round careful not to twist stitches.
Work in K1, P1 rib for 1.
Evenly increase 20 stitches across last round of ribbing.
Knit one round.
Begin lace pattern and work until hat measures approx. 6.5 (16.5 cm) from cast on edge.

Break yarn and pull through remaining stitches. Weave into the inside of the hat. Wet block and
place a dish or other flat round object inside to open up the lace and create the ultimate hip
and stylish slouchy hat.
