Dear Mr. Person,
I am writing to inquire about your Principal position for XYZ Charter
High School. I was excited to read the ad on your County website. The
excellent and enriching programs you run at XYZ have had me
interested in applying to the school for years. My current role for the
last three years is coordinating a small charter school Learning Center.
I am currently completing the Administrative credential program at
Humboldt State University, and will graduate in May 2016.
Training teachers and designing curriculum for student success are two
of my passions to improve student success and school climate. I have
also initiated several creative methods for getting parent involvement
at my school site. One of my goals is to research school climate and
discover gaps in current school procedures, and create appropriate
measures to fill them.
Additionally, I appreciate the goal-oriented student-centered focus, and
the strong communication between teachers, parents and students.
These qualities make this position ideal for me as these are all areas I
feel comfortable and am eager to work in. I will bring some new ideas
to your existing model, and would make a great addition to your team.
My experience managing and coordinating a charter school site for the
last three years, and the completion of my Administrative Credential
have equipped me with skills necessary to tackle the Principalship of
XYZ Charter High, and make me a solid candidate for this position.
