In the mills, the raw coal is simultaneously pulverized, dried and evenly distributed to
the coal burners. Hot air or flue gases transfer the pulverized fuel to the burner and
reduce the moisture in the coal.

Together with the flue gases, the raw lignite is brought for crushing purposes
into the beater wheel. It acts as a fan
impeller fitted with beater plates. Baffletype classifiers ensure that the required
fuel fineness for combustion is fulfilled.
