TOPIC NUMBER 3: A Special Day

I stared at the empty ceiling. Staring into the darkness while creeping
alone in my spacious, dark room. The clock was ticking loudly, more loudly
compared to other nights. I took a glance at the clock. It was 11.00 p.m. I gave out a
sigh. Everything seemed like it was just a dream. I started to remember what
happened this morning.
It was a beautiful morning. I walked around the park like any other day. It was
hazy and breezy so I decided to go for a jog instead of my usual walk. I could see
that there were not many people around. I looked at my Casio limited edition watch,
it was only 7.15 morning. I jogged for a few rounds before taking a hault. I could see
a silhouette. Shape of a woman from afar. Usually I would just ignore people around
me. But this time I decided to take a closer look. For unknown reasons I felt she was
special. The way she walked, the way she was flipping her hair. I could not take my
eyes off of her. Her silhouette was getting closer. And with each step closer my heart
was beating faster. As I was thinking whether to talk to her or not, I accidentally
bumped into her. It was just a bump on the shoulder, but enough to make her fall on
her back. I quickly apologized and tried to give a hand. That moment I could take a
closer look at her face. And like lightning stroke, my heart skipped a beat. Her
beautiful eyes, her small nose, and her fidgeting lips, all of that I could memorize
instantly. Are you okay? I asked with a little trembling in my voice. She just smiled
and said, Yes, Im fine. It was an awkward moment but I asked if I could take a walk
with her. We walked and talked as if we knew each other for years. Time passed by
and it was 9 a.m. It was getting hot and we parted ways. I felt sad, but there was no
reason not to part ways. As I watched her walk away, I felt a beating in my head,
telling me to at least ask for her name. But she was already gone.
A thunder was roaring outside my window. I glimpsed at my window and I
could see that it was raining heavily. I gave out a big sigh and started to scroll on my
social media page. I opened my Instagram account, just scrolling through bundle of
pictures. As I was scrolling, I saw a picture that caught my eyes. There she was, the
person I met in the park, was smiling among my friends. I instantly added her as my
friend. I waited patiently, hoping for her to leave a comment, and after 10 minutes
she did. It was a simple Hi with a smiley, but I know, this is the beginning of a
special day for me.
