Boil and peel potatoes. Mash.


Chop onions, ginger and green chillies finely.
Heat a little oil, add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Then
add chopped spices, potatoes, turmeric and salt. Add lime
juice. Mix well. Remove.
Divide into eight portions (the size of a large lime).
Dip in prepared batter and deep fry.
For Batter

Sift together gram flour, soda bi carbonate and salt. Add


enough water to make a smooth batter of medium
thickness.
