I am writing this letter in recommendation of Ms BG.. I am Bs advisor

and biology teacher. I have known Belem since September, 2014 when she
started as a freshman at Minneapolis College Prep. She is currently in her
sophomore year.
B is one of the kindest and most respectful high school students I have
ever worked with. She greets me every morning with a smile and is always
gentle and thoughtful in her responses. Her ability to care for those around
her is evident in the way she engages with her teachers and peers.
Furthermore, she has strong, healthy relationships with her friends and
family. For example, during advisory, she can often be found lending an ear
or a voice of support for her classmates. She is reflective in her pursuit of
growth and analyzes her actions and her classmates actions on the broader
sociopolitical landscape. She often speaks in defense of disadvantaged
groups, even outside of her Latina experience. Additionally, her commitment
to her mental health shows her maturity in proactive self-care.
B takes her academics seriously. She is an intelligent and insightful
young woman, but also pushes and dedicates herself to achieving high
grades. Her work is of superior quality and is often used as an exemplar for
other students. It is obvious she takes pride in anything with her name on it.
She has good study habits, keeps a planner, and almost always has her
homework thoughtfully and accurately complete on time.
In sum, I believe Ms. BG is an outstanding and highly qualified
individual. I am confident that she will have a positive impact on the world
and those around her; this woman has a bright future ahead. Please feel free
