Civil Rights Timeline Review

1. Go to http://www.tiki-toki.com/ and click on Sign Up Now. Enter in a


username, password, and your PSD email (We do not have a class code).
Each group only needs to make ONE account.
2. Go to Create New Timeline and enter in your title and type your group
members names into the Introduction box. Copy and paste the following
dates into the Start Date and End Date boxes, then click Create New
Timeline:
- Start: 01 Jan 1954 00:00:00
- End: 31 Dec 1968 00:00:00

Leave the rest of the boxes blank for now. If your group has time at the end,
you may add in an into image/background image later.

3. Click on the Admin drop-down window at the top-right corner of the screen,
and click Create New Story. From here, enter in the title of your event in the
title box. Enter in the contributing group members name into the Intro
box. To enter the date(s) use the calendar button and scroll to the correct
date. Leave the rest of the boxes alone. When you are finished, click Save

4. Enter in the paragraph (who, what, when, where, why (significance)) under
the Extra Info tab and click Save. Responses should be a well-developed
paragraph (150 words).

5. Each slide should have one piece of media attached (picture, video, etc.).
Under the Media tab, click on Add New Media. Select the appropriate
source type from the Type dropdown menu. Copy/paste the link into the box
that says Source. Add a short caption describing your media in the box
labeled Caption. Then click Save. Leave the rest of the boxes alone.

For Pictures from Google Image Search, click on View Image and
copy/paste the full URL into the Source box.

For YouTube videos, copy/paste the full URL into the Source box.
