Kate Evans Life in Stride Academy lifeinstride@gmail.com Dear Ms. Evans, I just learned about the internship opportunity that Life in Stride Riding Academy and Southern Breeze Ranch are offering, and could not be more excited. I have worked most of my life on my family ranch and on The Singleton Ranches in The Salinas Valley of California, surrounded by horses and cattle. I was tasked with checking cattle, fixing fences, doctoring calves, and starting young horses. I was also able to live on the 4M Ranch in Salinas, California where they owned and boarded approximately 40 horses. Every day I cleaned stalls, fed horses & rode horses, and gave lessons to young riders. Besides the outside work, I was responsible for buying feed, managing books for board and lessons, and producing ranch rodeos on site. I believe that horses are very powerful animals that are not only used by humans for sport, but can also teach responsibility and commitment to all involved. Teaching the youth the greatness of the horse, and watching them succeed is something that I find great pleasure in. I am very confident in my ability to perform all tasks of the internship, and am willing to learn those that I need to improve upon. Please feel free to contact me with any questions at 361-484-1579 or baillie_buhler@tamu.edu, I look forward to learning more about this wonderful opportunity. Sincerely,
