Statement of Purpose: To promote inclusion and equality through the wheelchair tennis clinic
as a recreational opportunity for all individuals of various ages and ability levels.
Goals:
1. Participants will feel an increase in self-esteem and self-worth.
a. We will measure individuals level of participation and assess their overall mindframe throughout the course of the event.
2. Participants will gain knowledge from our program, and apply that to their lives.
a. We will measure the number of participants displaying new skills and
understanding throughout the day.
Description: On Saturday, April 2, 2016, Laura Rew and Shane Crnkovich will hold the first
annual Wheelchair Tennis Clinic. The clinic will take place for one day, approximately eight
hours, making the event start at 9a.m. and end around 4p.m. There will be free tennis lessons,
games, activities, prizes, and food throughout the day. The name of the agency that is helping
make this Tennis Clinic possible is Ability First Sports. Devon Saul, the program coordinator for
Ability First Sports, is acting as the supervisor and is helping us throughout the entire process.

Current Efforts: Ability first will be providing the necessary equipment we need for the clinic,
and will be providing transportation for any participants who need a ride.

Request: We are requesting $150.00 for prizes to give out, fliers made and supplies for lunch.
