Dear Bank Of America Student Leaders Program: I am very pleased to recommend Robert Martinez as a candidate to your program. As his counselor for the past 3 years, I have watched this young man develop both academically and personally into a mature individual. Robert has proven to be a hard working and dedicated student and he currently has a LAUSD weighted GPA of 3.52. He has challenged himself with taking Honors and AP coursework. I believe his academic performance coupled with his enthusiastic and well-rounded personality would make him a good candidate for your program. Though he is aware of his own intelligence, as evidenced by his course selection and grades, Robert has an air of modesty about himself that makes him approachable and well liked amongst his peers and teachers. Robert has participated in a myriad of extracurricular activities where his versatility, whether it is his leadership, talent, or athleticism shines. On campus, he has been on the Boys Varsity Basketball Team since the 9th grade. He has been active in Student Council, where he served as sophomore Class President his sophomore year. Outside of school, Robert has been involved with youTHink Student Ambassador Program since 2013 as a Student Ambassador, which has allowed him to expand and broaden not only his leadership skills, but also his peer relations outside of his usual norm. Just this last October, Robert was selected among hundreds of applicants to participate in a Chicano Youth Leadership Conference where he was not only enriched in Chicano culture, but also rooted in leadership growth activities. I believe that Robert has tremendous potential as a student and I feel quite confident that he will be an asset to your program. Yours truly, Ms. Chisato Craig Counselor
