Ford didn’t play in three straight games from May 3-5, but returned to
the lineup on May 6. It was another rough week for Ford as he batted
just .176 (3-for-17) in four games. He did steal a base in three of
those four contests and scored a run in two of them. His lone extra-hit
came on May 7, as he hit his sixth double of the season.

Trout hit three home runs in seven games last week, including a game-
winning solo shot in the top of the 10th inning against Wisconsin on
May 8. He also scored eight runs this week, and had three games in
which he scored twice. Trout also nearly doubled his RBI total (7 to 13)
and stole another four bags. He’s currently riding a 14-game hit streak.

McConnell had his first multi-hit game on May 8, going 2-for-4 in an
8-1 win over Tulsa. He also stole his lone base last week in that con-
test. Outside of that game though, McConnell struggled at the plate,
batting .167 (3-for-18) in his other five games. He did have a double
in a 5-1 victory over Arkansas on May 3.
