KOLAN WAR CAPTAIN

Hold, they havent seen us yet. Wait till the last moment.
A pack of Kolan warriors stalk another pack of warring Kolan. Hidden in
the deep underbrush, they wait, weapons drawn, for the order to
attack.
KOLAN WAR CHIEF
Go.
With vicious war cries, the savages emerge from the bush and ambush
the unsuspecting enemy. Many Kolan are fell and many others injured.
Suddenly, something goes wrong.
KOLAN WARRIOR
Agggghhhhhh! They have archKOLAN WAR CHIEF
Retreat! Retreat to the village!
KOLAN WARRIORS
AGH! NO! *DEATH CRIES
Scrambling through the under growth, the injured attackers try to
avoid the deadly arrows of their southern counterparts and most hated
enemies. As they reach a safe distance, they climb a tree and rest,
finally at a moderately safe distance.
KOLAN LUITENANT
What happened? Sir, what happened?!
KOLAN WAR CHIEF
They had archers. They knew we were coming. How many did we lose?
KOLAN LUITENANT
Approximately 16 of my men4 or 5 of yours, sir. More than half our
company.
KOLAN WAR CHIEF
Get our fastest runner.
LUITENANT

Um, sir, hes dead.

KOLAN WAR CHIEF
Then get our second fastest runner!
The lieutenant scrambles away to fetch the runner. He is back in less
than a minute.
LUITENANT
Here he is sir. Hes winded but he can run.
KOLAN WAR CHIEF
Runner, this is of utmost importance. Take the southern road, behind
their lines, and get to the village through the cave system. Warn the
tribe. Get the women and children inside. Except for boys that have
passed their derilah. They are men now. I want every able-bodied man
in armor and ready to fight. Run life mad. Go!
The runner dashes away into the deep jungle.
LUITENANT
Sir, what do we do now? We are weak, out numbered, and this tree is
hardly ample cover.
KOLAN WAR CHIEF
Take the rest of them men and follow the runner through the caves.
Defend the tribe. Better yet, have the strong women set upon the
towers as archers. Bring me my two best men. We have work to do.
LUITENANT
Sir, you dont truly intend on going after them do you? Thats suicide!
Youll be destroyed! YoullKOLAN WAR CHIEF
Silence, fool. I have given you orders. I am not a stupid Kolan. I am
seasoned, I am strong, and I have seen my share of bloody massacres.
This will not be one of them. The gods will help me. Now go, do not
waste another second. I will meet you on the battlefield.
The lieutenant races off to gather the men and prepare them for the
journey. The War Chief sits down, assumes his prayer position and
begins to pray. Deep hums emanate from his body and he focuses on
his incantation. He feels as the god of war heals his wounds and
infuses him with strength. He is interrupted by his warriors.

KOLAN ELITE
Sir, you called for us?
KOLAN WAR CHIEF (eyes still closed)
Hahaha.Oh yes. (Eyes open, vengeance flare in them) Lets avenge
our brothers.
