Unit Objectives- Copied from
Course Guide:
Activation: Students were asked if they
could identify friction in motion.
Students polled at the beginning of
class.
Review/Check-in: Blackboard rules as
well as participation rules are gone over.
Interactive Activities that will lead to
students meeting objectives and
mastering standards, with duration:
Students are asked to participate on the
whiteboard as well as in polling.
Students were asked to use their
whiteboard tools to circle and match
different examples of kinetic and static
friction. Friction as a force was also
reviewed with the students.
Formative Assessments: Students are
assessed by polling and whiteboard
tools
Materials: power point, blackboard

Activation: As students enter the
classroom they will be asked if they are
satisfied with their grade so far.
Students will also be reminded that at
the end of quarter 1 units 1-3 will close
and students will no longer be able to

Activation: Students will be asked if they


have completed the readings for the
week and if they have taken notes.
Review/Check-in: classroom policies
were reviewed. Extra credit was
reviewed, students will be reminded
that they can turn their note guides in
for extra credit.
Interactive Activities: Students will be
asked multiple questions about the
content in lessons 3.01, 3.02 and 3.03.
Students will also have the opportunity
check their gradebook and ask for help.
Formative Assessments: Quiz 3.01-3.03
Materials: blackboard, power point
Vocabulary/Keywords: gravity, friction,
force, static friction, kinetic friction.
