Blue Led:

Supply voltage = 5V
Fwd Voltage = 3.5V
Fwd Current = 20mA
Resistor = (5 - 3.5)/(0.02)
= 1.5/0.02
= 75 ohm
One line has 15 LEDs, thus total current draw = 15 x 20mA
= 300mA ---- parallel connection so current
are additives
Resistor power rating = (20mA)2 x (75)
= 0.03W
= 30mW ---- minimum power rating so LED no burnt
Use resistor with double power rating for LED protection:
Thus, Power rating = 2 x 30mW = 60mW = 0.06W << 0.25W, so use resistor with 0.25W
power rating
From data-sheet at this rated values the intensity is 8000mcd
Red Led:
Supply voltage = 5V
Fwd Voltage = 2V
Fwd Current = 20mA
Resistor = (5 - 2)/(0.02)
= 3/0.02
= 150 ohm
One line has 15 LEDs, thus total current draw = 15 x 20mA
= 300mA ---- parallel connection so current
are additives
Resistor power rating = (20mA)2 x (150)
= 0.06W
= 60mW
Use resistor with double power rating for LED protection:
Thus, Power rating = 2 x 60mW = 120mW = 0.12W << 0.25W, so use resistor with
0.25W power rating
From data-sheet at this rated values the intensity is 7500mcd

CL = CL1 * CL2 + Cstray

CL1 + CL2
Let CL1=CL2=CLx
Thus,
CL = (CLx)2 + Cstray
2CLx
Hence, CL = CLx+ Cstray
2
CLx = 2*(CL - Cstray)
For Load Capacitance of 18pF; Assume stray capacitance between 2pF-5pF;
(i) if Cstray = 2pF
CLx = 2*(18pF - 2pF) = 32pF
(ii) if Cstray = 3pF
CLx = 2*(18pF - 3pF) = 30pF
(iii) if Cstray = 4pF
CLx = 2*(18pF - 4pF) = 28pF
(iv) if Cstray = 5pF
CLx = 2*(18pF - 5pF) = 26pF
