INVERSION, COPY AND PASTE IDEA

I had only used inversion once for this
piece to make the foot steps of the
killer speed up and then had used
inversion to then have it like the killer
has left the victim alone. This had help
make a story of the killer messing with
the persons head scaring the person
until he snapped. Repetition was used
for a variety of parts such as the foot
steps I had used the copy and paste
function to carry on the idea of the foot
steps which had changed faster and
faster of making the loop smaller and
smaller making the notes smaller as
well to speed up the paste of the killer
sneaking up on the victim.

MARKERS, LOOP AND EFFECTS IDEA

During the process I had used a variety of
effects which had made the piece
complete and the techniques which I had
used was velocity and when doing this I
had clicked on the arrow tool and then
scrolled down to where I had come across
the velocity tool and when using this tool
I had clicked on a note to change the
impact on how hard the note is pressed For using effects I had used
this was good because I had used this to EXS24 and when using
make tension build. Another technique I this I helped etherize the
had used was markers and loop and when sound to making the notes
last longer, I did this by
using this I had used markers to help
changing the cut off point
myself see what is what and where it
and had changed it higher
goes.
to help create a scary scene
and this was done on the
brass instrument.

TEXTURE OF MY PIECE THICK OR THIN

For this piece I had felt through-out that this was a thin piece with not having this
sequence packed with lots of instruments instead it had recorded sound from what I
had inputted to experiment on making sounds which are made from scratch instead
of using the logic instruments. The part to where was used more thinner was at the
very end to show that something is going to happen with just including the tapping
recorded sound and a brass sound to help make a almost silent scene with just the
creaking floor boards slowing down like the killer is ready to jump out. I also had a
thin part to the sequence at the start which only had the brass playing to make the
start of a scary scene. By having a thin piece the had made the structure of the piece
link to each other because there was only three recorded sounds what was used.
Linking two instruments together I would saying the tapping and the build up sounds
link by having like someone is walking to wards you and like they are scraping some
think along the walls, having these two instruments made this effect of being tracked
down, in more detail I would like to include changing to where the sounds are coming
from left and right side to make different textures, make it more intense scene.
Dynamics were used to make the steps sound like they was getting closer change
how hard or soft the note is playing.

PROGRESSION, PATTERN AND ROWS

IDEA
The progression of this piece started off with as a quick build
up to the kill and when looking back at this I felt something can
be added to it making it more intense and using these sound I
had started to think of an idea of someone messing with the
victims head making the victim feel like the is someone
following him but when looking around no is there, this was an
idea what had been carried out to by using loop to speed up
the foot steps by using the loop. What has been extended and
has been changed to a longer piece which made the scene
more intense, by changing the length of the sequence it had
made a pattern of continuous foot steps of someone or thing
messing with the victims head, which slowly felt to me like it
was traveling closer because the speed of the foot steps was
sped up during the progression.

RECORDED SOUNDS
When using the sounds to what was recorded I had used the
different sounds for different parts such as the tapping sound
which was recorded from a creaking door and then I had used
this to make like a floor board creaking instead, this played
through-out to create a strong scene of someone is trying to
kill or following the victim getting ready to strike. Another
sound what was used for this piece is what I had called the
build up, this was a sound from the inside of a piano, this had
been used to add on what was already going on to make more
layers to have this piece not as thin as a usual piece would be
for horror. And lastly I had used a recorded sound, a cymbal
with dragging along a violin stick, adding this sound into my
piece I had used a lower note to make the sound like a brass
section, helps make the listener think something is going to
happen or making them focused to what is going on.

CHORDS
Brass piece chords Part 2 A chord and C chord

A1,C2, E2 and C1, E1, G1When had using these chords I had used these
to make a lower toned murder scene to make
the sounds link to the story with making the
chords above from each other. When using the
chords they had played at different parts so
the A chord was played first and then at bar 20
the C chord and started along side the A
chords.

ADDING SECTION A,B AND C

When adding A,B and C section I
would have part A with the original
piece starting to build the scene and
this will make the listener feel focused
on what is happening. Then part B
would include a faster paste speed to
make the horror scene more intense
which to me makes the sequence
seem like some think is happening
such as the killer is chasing the victim
and by doing this I builds tension.
Then part C I will have a similar part
as part A by having a scene build to
create more tension of the person that
has got away now and then with
scene it will have the killer doing a
jump scare of when the victim dies.
