Student will be introduced a topic involving character and plot development. In
this second lesson, students are exploring an in-depth view of character

development where they will identify character physical properties and design
their own character.

Students will create a character through the use with shadow puppets
Students will identify 3 distinctive physical features in their character
Through this activity, students practice their communication skills along with their creative
thinking literacy skills. Students are demanded to develop their language syntax through
creation of their story. Students are creating multiple sentences that are connecting to the
same topic. Through the activity, students will are asked to developed productive
language skill of speaking and for some students writing.

Story Book: Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig, Shadow puppets of three little
pigs with some scene, Chart paper, drawing paper, pencil markers, Black and multicolor
construction paper, scissors, popsicle sticks, glue, scissor, large white cloth, flashlight,
performers, audience, smiles
class that characters all have physical characteristics. Pigs have pointy ears, round bodies
and curly tails. Wolves have furry tails, big noses and claws.
Explain to the class that they will be creating their own character for a story they will
make. Explain that the characters all have physical features so their characters must have
some physical features. If the character is a pig, it must have some physical features of a
pig like snout, pointy ears or a curly tail. If the character was a person, it must have hair,
Students will first create their character using paper to draft out their character. After
creating a draft of the character, they will transfer their character creation onto black
construction paper. After student have drawn their character on the black construction
paper, have students cut the outline of the character and glue popsicle sticks on the bottom
of the shadow puppets. Allow the puppet to dry.

previous lesson, students were exploring how shadows is created. In
