Flying Pig Bistro ADDIE Design Package - Evaluation

Formative: To begin with, each step of the ADDIE method will be detailed as to how it
was accomplished and how well it worked. These stages are as follows: Analyze, Design,
Develop, Implement, and Evaluation. The Analyze stage included research into the nature of the
client and what was needed for the project. It also detailed limitations and specific guidelines for
the design project. It went quite well, and was completed in short order. Any improvements
would probably be along the line of more complete research and organization of the said
research. The Design phase included a layout of the scope and procedure of the project, and
rough sketches of what the finished products would look like. These sketches were quite
complex, and probably much of this could have been delayed until the Develop stage. The
Analyze & Design sections were compiled into one paper and submitted to the client fairly early
on. The Develop stage included revising and expanding the rough sketches from the Design
phase and fixing/troubleshooting difficulties. Improvement could be found in spending more
time and developing further on the project. Implementation was mainly found in submitting and
turning in the final project to the client, and feedback on this portion has not yet been received.
This paper is the Evaluation stage, and the success of it can be judged by the reader.
Summative: The project as a whole went extremely well. There were several changes
made throughout the project. An additional image was added to the menu, as well as several
structural changes as to the format of the same. These structural tweaks detailed changing the

size of the fonts and the number of items displayed. The color of all logo/design elements were
also changed slightly. The dark brown selected was lightened to enhance viewing. This in fact
proved somewhat unsatisfactory, but the detail and the scope of the entire project allowed for a
positive reception.
