Madam:
The Mindanao University of Science and Technology will be
hosting the 41st Philippine Institute of Civil Engineering (PICE)
National Convention with the theme Responsible Civil Engineering
Practice Amidst Climate Change to be held at the Limketkai Luxury
Hotel, Cagayan de Oro city on March 15-16, 2016. The national
convention called for paper presenters and I submitted a research
paper entitled Bamboo as Replacement in Reinforcing Steel Bars
for Structural Concrete Luckily, my paper was accepted for
presentation and publication. In this connection, I would like to ask
permission to attend the said activity on official time because I
believe that this will hone my knowledge and skills as a research
writer and presenter. Since I could not meet my students during that
day, I also ask permission that I be allowed to conduct make-up
classes to cope up my absences. I am hoping for your positive
response regarding this matter
